You better! You better! You better watch what you say. You'll never! You'll never! You'll never have it your way. I'll let her! I'll let her! I'll let her make her own fate. She'll get her! She'll get her! She'll get her karma one day. ~ CHORUS ~ I had told you, already had I told you Not to leave me here in such a sudden haste. I just want you. I really, really want you. There's a sore on my tongue from the lack of your taste. I can see you. Nobody can see through All your dirty deeds and your sneaky little games. I don't want you. Now, nobody wants you Leaving you to be in your very own way. You better! You better! You better watch what you say. You'll never! You'll never! You'll never have it your way. I'll let her! I'll let her! I'll let her have the last say. She'll get what's! She'll get what's! She'll get what's coming her way.

My gates are open for your visit. But you rather sit there in solitude. This kitty's hungry now... But you won't give her food. You never lead me to completion. My libido always goes unused. Want you to rock my soul And make my river flow. You're so lame ~ CHORUS ~ I't no wonder you fuck Like the way you do It's no wonder you fuck It's no wonder you fuck Like the way you do You think I'm just some acquisition. Just another one that you will abuse. So when I look in your face... I see another man You're so lame

So this is all that we've been told. By those who think they really know. But they don't know because no one knows. They serve it on a fancy plate. Hoping that we surely take the bait. But I can't wait so let's elate. ~ CHORUS ~ So you talk about Heaven & Hell. (Look out now! Ooooh watch out!) The seeds of doubt you spread. (Look out now! Ooooh watch out!) Don't you know that you're not well. (Look out now! Ooooh watch out!) Your status quo is almost dead. And this is all that we've been shown. By the underlying, network hand. You better bite the hand if you understand. And though the curtains aren't yet drawn. The time is near to be revealed. For we have grown...the whistle's blown. ~ CHORUS ~ So you talk about Heaven & Hell (Look out now! Ooooh watch out!) You're causing all this stress (Look out now! Ooooh watch out!) If only you would tell (Look out now! Ooooh watch out!) The secrets you possess

I came to see if what was told Relates to me and all my kind Standing at a giant bowl Gazing at the mother of all finds Sunlight reflects off barren lands Erasing all the boundaries we once had Mesmerized by hue filled sands Historically it's just another pad ~ CHORUS ~ This is what we're gonna say It's what we're gonna say Even to their dismay It's what we're gonna say Shadowbox the Moon Apollo's creed is what's believed But what if there is more than meets the eye Clues to how we've been conceived Now we'll never know until we finally die ~ CHORUS ~ So this is how we'll play This is how we'll play The hand we're dealt today This is how we'll play Shadowbox the Moon

about

It's been over a year and a half since Vanarays released their last EP, "Sea Of Tin". They now return with their first full-length effort entitled, "Equalizer". Once you listen to the record in it's entirety it becomes quite apparent that even though the band has progressed in their writing/arranging, they have picked up right where they left off in regards to their wide palette of different musical genres.
All in all, "Equalizer" is an album for the avid lover of music . But that's not to say that it will go unnoticed by the average listener. With such diverse songwriting there is sure to be something that appeals to almost everyone.
Once again, Vanarays have proven that they possess a voracious appetite for all kinds of music. They are a band constantly searching for something different. I guess you can describe them best as a group of guys with musical schizophrenia. We can only wait and see what their future brings. Until then, let us enjoy this most recent offering.
